Dimension series

Dimension series classify bearings of identical bore by cross-section. The diameter series defines the outside diameter relative to the bore, the width series the width; together they form the dimension series to ISO 15. For a 25 mm bore, deep groove ball bearings 61805, 61905, 6005, 6205 and 6305 share the same bore while outside diameter, width and load capacity increase from series to series. In practice: for more capacity on the same shaft, move to a heavier series if housing space allows; for compact, lightly loaded designs, choose a light series. The system applies across bearing types and structures every dimension table.
