INA FLAN47-MSTR Flanschlagergehäuse
Description
As a bearing housing, this housing accepts a separately selected bearing insert. Technical particulars for this build are shown in the specification table. This version too is a housing without rolling elements: capacity and speed come only with the bearing insert fitted into it. In sheet steel too, the flanged housing remains a housing part without a raceway of its own; it holds the separately selected bearing insert and transfers its force through the flange into the surrounding structure.
The formed sheet part is lighter than a cast housing, takes up less height and can be produced in quantity with consistent geometry; it damps less and is less rigid than grey cast iron, which is why it is intended for moderately loaded bearing positions and light drives. The ratings of the bearing position come from the insert, so bore diameter, bolt pattern and flange form are to be matched with the intended insert.
Because the sheet construction is more compliant, an uneven or out-of-square mounting face affects alignment more strongly than it would on a cast housing. Protection against contamination and corrosion is to be ensured through the surroundings or supplementary sealing elements.
