INA NKIB59/22 Schrägkugellager (22x39x25)

As a combined needle/thrust bearing, this bearing carries radial and axial loads simultaneously. This INA bearing measures 22x39x25 mm and weighs 0.115 kg; the specification table carries the supplementary technical details. Needle rollers for the transverse force, an angled ball row for the longitudinal one: in the open design both sets stay accessible to the lubrication of the surroundings.

The combined needle roller / angular contact ball bearing joins a radially carrying needle roller assembly to an axially carrying ball row whose raceways sit at a contact angle to the bearing axis. Compared with a flat axial stage, the contact angle yields higher axial stiffness and better speed capability, which makes the design suitable for feed and positioning axes with a simultaneous transverse load.

The two rolling element sets act independently, so the radial and axial ratings are to be assessed separately and neither applies to the other direction. In the open design the unit has no seal of its own; lubrication, sealing and relubrication are handled by the surrounding construction, which eases installation in oil-lubricated gearbox interiors and keeps the frictional torque low.

Standard bearing steel is through-hardened; for the design, radial and axial force, speed and the lubrication concept of the installation space should be assessed together.
