INA ZKLN0619-2Z Schrägkugellager (6x19x12)

As an axial angular contact ball bearing, this bearing carries high axial loads at elevated speeds, e.g. for ball screws. This INA bearing measures 6x19x12 mm and weighs 0.018 kg; the specification table carries the supplementary technical details. Minimal-gap seals on both sides keep coarse contamination away from the angled ball row without appreciably raising the power loss of the feed axis.

The angled ball row carries the longitudinal force and delivers the axial stiffness a preloaded feed axis demands; the sealing arrangement changes nothing about that load-carrying action. The minimal-gap seals fitted at both faces act through a narrow gap without appreciable contact and hold back coarse contamination, while the additional frictional torque and the heating that follows from it stay low — the decisive advantage at a permanently preloaded bearing position whose power loss stems mainly from the preload anyway.

The gap does not, however, give full protection against moisture and fine dust, so heavily loaded environments call for external shielding or an appropriate relubrication interval. After hardening, standard bearing steel provides the required raceway hardness and dimensional stability. For the design, preload, speed, contamination level and the friction power to be dissipated should be assessed together.
