ZEN S51113 Kugellager (65x90x18)

As a thrust ball bearing, this bearing carries axial loads only and must not be loaded radially. The principal dimensions are 65x90x18 mm at a weight of 0.3 kg; the further technical details are listed in the specification table. This variant features stainless steel. Washers and balls in stainless steel make this purely axial arrangement available for damp mounting positions and wash-down duty.

In stainless steel too, the design remains a purely axial arrangement: the balls run between flat washers, radial forces belong at a separate bearing position, and a permanently acting minimum axial force maintains rolling contact. The material improves resistance to moisture, condensation and cleaning media and saves an additional surface protection in such mounting positions, for example in food, beverage and packaging technology.

Compared with standard bearing steel the load rating is lower, which must be taken into account when selecting the size for the required axial force. For permanent contact with aggressive media the resistance should be verified in each individual case; the squareness of the seating faces to the shaft axis remains just as decisive. For the design, axial force, speed, the surrounding medium and the lubrication concept should be assessed together.
