ZEN S51116 Kugellager (80x105x19)

As a thrust ball bearing, this bearing carries axial loads only and must not be loaded radially. This ZEN bearing measures 80x105x19 mm and weighs 0.384 kg; the specification table carries the supplementary technical details. This variant features stainless steel. This version combines the restriction to longitudinal forces with the corrosion resistance of stainless steel.

In stainless steel too, the design remains a purely axial arrangement: the balls run between flat washers, radial forces belong at a separate bearing position, and a permanently acting minimum axial force maintains rolling contact. The material improves resistance to moisture, condensation and cleaning media and saves an additional surface protection in such mounting positions, for example in food, beverage and packaging technology.

Compared with standard bearing steel the load rating is lower, which must be taken into account when selecting the size for the required axial force. For permanent contact with aggressive media the resistance should be verified in each individual case; the squareness of the seating faces to the shaft axis remains just as decisive. For the design, axial force, speed, the surrounding medium and the lubrication concept should be assessed together.
