ZEN SFL204-SB Flanschlagergehäuse
Description
As a bearing housing, this housing accepts a separately selected bearing insert. The specification table holds the available technical details in full. Cast iron, sheet steel or plastic — the housing material decides load capacity, damping and suitability for wet surroundings. The loads of the insert pass into the structure through the flange face.
The housing bore is machined spherical so the insert’s convex outer ring can align itself as it is tightened; bore form and size must therefore match. Selection is accordingly driven by the bolt pattern, the flange form and the shaft diameter of the intended insert. The seating face of the structure must be flat and stiff enough, because distortion of the bolting plane preloads the bearing position and shortens its life.
Lubrication path and sealing belong to the insert, not to the housing — so for relubrication it is the accessibility of the fitted bearing that matters, not that of the housing. The stainless steel version is intended for damp, wet or chemically loaded surroundings and for applications demanding freedom from rust; its load ratings sit somewhat below those of standard bearing steel.
