OPTIBELT B173 Ummantelte Keilriemen

The OPTIBELT B173 is a wrapped V-belt in section 17 (B) to DIN 2215 / ISO 4184, transmitting power by friction through its wedge flanks in the pulley groove. All three length datums at a glance: inside length Li 4,394 mm, datum length Ld 4,434 mm, outside length La 4,463 mm. When cross-referencing other brands, always compare the same length datum.

The cross-section measures 17 × 11 mm at a 40° wedge angle. Any V-belt of section 17 (B) with datum length 4,434 mm is a drop-in replacement, regardless of brand. Key design data: minimum recommended pulley datum diameter 112 mm; weight 0.196 kg per metre. The fabric wrap protects the tension cord against abrasion, oil and ozone — the robust standard for industrial drives (belt speeds up to about 30 m/s).

Permissible ambient temperature range: -40 to +80 °C. Optibelt manufactures to the S=C Plus (SetConstant) length concept — an advantage when several belts run side by side.
